The Urban Enterprise Network offers a flexible, practical service working with clients from across the public, private and third sector. Providing a comprehensive, creative project and programme management service, the UEN works with agencies to plan, co-ordinate and deliver projects, specialising in the areas of employability and skills; small business/enterprise development; entrepreneurship and community engagement.

CURRENT WORK AND CASE STUDIES
The improvements in infrastructure demanded by London 2012 provides the Olympic Host boroughs with a major opportunity and real impetus for the revitalisation of their High Streets and retail centers.
To further underline the strategic potential of Leyton as a key access point to the Olympic Park and Stratford City, the Urban Enterprise Network is providing project management for this £500k initiative which will produce a 'High Street Life' strategy for the borough, as well as deliver an exemplar shop front improvement pilot project in a key, locally focused, retail centre in Leyton.

This project is underpinned by the following objectives:
- Provide an exemplar model of Town Centre / High Street improvements
- Improve the appearance and useability of the Leyton town centre
- Support the economic success of Town centres
- Improve both the retail and physical environment in Leyton E10
- Reiterate the local authorities' commitment to supporting small businesses
- Enhance the distinctive character and key locations within the Leyton area, and promote a sense of civic pride
As part of the Brighton Creative Business programme, working with Creative Development and the Brighton Business Forum the Urban Enterprise Network delivered a series of fundraising, sponsorship and networking workshops for sole traders, graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs within the creative industries based in the region.

As part of the Youth Sector Development Fund (YSDF) a £100m investment by the Department for Education improving the capacity of some of the country's most effective third sector, community-based organizations, all of which provide outstanding youth support services and interventions. The Urban Enterprise Network provides tailored support to the Hangleton & Knoll project, helping them achieve their objectives. The support comes in a number of forms including consultancy, mentoring, dedicated networks and training workshops mapped against a 'core curriculum'.

The Urban Enterprise Network provides support for the 'Worknet' delivery team tasked with delivering this programme, targeting long term workless adults and providing service provision through job brokerage, outreach and sector specific training, as part of an £15m partnership package of support for workless adults across the five Olympic Host Boroughs.
